Patientco, a next-generation patient payment technology company, today announced that its Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Bird Blitch, was named in The Healthcare Technology Report’s list of Top 50 HealthTech CEOs of 2021. The annual list recognizes the most accomplished executives in healthcare technology.

This year’s honorees come from many different backgrounds including medicine, business, finance and biotechnology. From developing leading medical devices and next-generation software platforms to diagnostic tools and cutting-edge therapeutics, these leaders have made significant contributions to society and advanced patient care with their accomplishments.

“I am incredibly humbled to be honored by The Healthcare Technology Report and included on a list with so many industry leaders who are making a meaningful impact in healthcare,” said Blitch. “This recognition also celebrates the work that everyone at Patientco does day in and day out to infuse compassion and clarity into the healthcare billing and payment experience. We strive to remove financial barriers to care so that patients feel empowered to seek and receive the care they need.”

The recognition by The Healthcare Technology Report is the latest industry accolade Patientco has received in the last several months. Earlier this year, Patientco was named Best in KLAS for Patient Financial Engagement Software. To assess different patient financial engagement vendors for the report, KLAS conducted interviews over the last 12 months with current health system clients for each vendor and Patientco achieved the highest performance score of the patient financial engagement vendors evaluated.

In 2020, Patientco was also named Healthcare Tech Outlook’s Company of the Year for Patient Engagement Solution Providers and received the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) Peer Review designation. HFMA’s Peer Review program provides healthcare financial managers an objective, third-party evaluation of business solutions used in the healthcare space.
