It’s official – we’re already in the second quarter of 2019. As we gear up for warmer weather, Patientco is also getting ready for a jam-packed schedule of healthcare IT conferences. If you’re attending any of the events mentioned in this blog post, come say hello – we’d love to meet you!

First Stop, Chicago for Becker’s Hospital Review 10th Annual Meeting

This week, our team is exhibiting at the Becker’s Hospital Review 10th Annual Meeting in Chicago. We’re at booth 1111. Featured keynote speakers include former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, along with a speech by renowned news anchor and producer, Katie Couric. In addition to an impressive keynote lineup, we’re also looking forward to other industry experts sharing their insights. Janice Benggio from Broward Health will present, “Raising HCAHPS Scores for Hospitals,” which we’re excited to attend. There are also several panels that sound interesting, like this one with Gerilynn Sevenikar of Sharp Healthcare titled, “Strategies to Transform Patients into Loyal Consumers.”

The Becker’s Annual Meeting is one of the largest healthcare IT conferences that brings together hospital business and strategy leaders. Since this is such a highly-anticipated event, we expect it will be an excellent opportunity for learning and networking.

Traveling Across the U.S. for HFMA

Next stop for Patientco will be the 2019 HFMA Hawaii Chapter Annual Conference in Honolulu. We hope you can make it to the Big Island on Apr. 4 because Patientco’s Cindy Smith will be speaking in a breakout session from 1:55-2:55 p.m. HST. In her session, she will discuss how Health Systems can keep up with rising consumer expectations by delivering a superior billing and payment experience for patients. If you’re there, be sure to stop by and we bet you’ll learn something new.

Following HFMA Hawaii, Alan Nalle, our chief strategy officer will begin his speaking tour. To start, he’ll speak at HFMA’s Leadership Training Conference in Anaheim, California on Apr. 15. Alan will present thought-provoking content from Patientco on topics like data analytics best practices, trends in consumerism that impact RCM and the patient financial experience. The Leadership Training Conference is unique because each HFMA local chapter (there are 66) will send a representative to attend. This healthcare conference will provide unique networking opportunities while allowing us to showcase our own industry expertise!

A Quick Stop at FinTech South

After Anaheim, Alan is back in Atlanta at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for FinTech South on Apr. 23. There, he’ll be speaking on a panel about the distinct payment challenges facing certain industries, such as healthcare, and how they’re being solved. Other panelists include payment experts, Mike Gaburo, CEO of Brightwell and Robin Gregg, CEO of RoadSync.

Wrapping up his tour, Alan will head northwest to Spokane, Washington for the HFMA Washington-Alaska Spring Conference. On May 1, Alan will host a breakout session titled, “4 Ways to Measure the Patient Financial Experience & How to Improve It.” These metrics establish a baseline measure for the patient financial experience, enabling Health Systems to identify opportunities for improvement, which Alan will also address.

One of the last healthcare conferences in Q2 of 2019 will be HFMA’s 2019 Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. Our booth is #287. This is one healthcare conference that we find worthwhile each year. Focused on improving the business of healthcare, there are various session tracks that attendees will find valuable, including a track on business intelligence and return on analytics, as well as a track focused on revenue cycle process improvements.
